I inherited my love of photography (and some very old darkroom equipment) from my wonderful dad. After many years of enjoying photography as a hobby, I was blessed with the birth of my son. 

After my first “studio” experience with my son I realized that traditional portraits were not for me. So I picked up my now dusty camera and started making memories of my muse. I realized again how much I enjoy taking photographs and the joy they give to those who view them, and I realized I wanted to do this as more than just a hobby. 

Knees & Toes Photography was born out of a love of my own babies and has grown to include the wonderful moms, dads, and families that I have had the privilege to work with.

 Although I still have my dad’s old camera, I have embraced the digital age and no longer shoot film. The wonderful advantage of a digital medium for shooting children is that we are no longer limited to a few rolls of film. I love the freedom to shoot as long as we are enjoying our time together!  

 I also enjoy working with you before the session to help you with clothing and location recommendations.  Feel free to call me anytime to talk about options and what sort of setting you would like for your photographs. That can include my home studio,  the canyon, or the streets and buildings downtown. We can even use your own home to do wonderful lifestyle portraits.
